When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

Dogs deserve better than life on a chain.
DogsDeserveBetter.Com With all the dogs I've had in my family and all of the dogs I have spent time with growing up, as well as a few dozen shelter dogs - I have been bitten only twice, and both bites came from chained, isolated dogs, when I was a kid. A photo I saw today inspired me to make this stamp. Chaining, tethering and isolating dogs should be illegal, for several reasons. Dogs, as pack animals, are naturally social and thrive on interaction with their pack/family. A dog that is constantly left isolated or chained can suffer severe psychological damage. Chaining or isolating a dog for a long period of time can lead to territorial-aggression. If a dog feels threatened by an unfamilar human or animal, a dog responds with their "flight or fight" instinct; being tethered interferes with that instinct, taking away the ability to flight, forcing the dog to react in an aggressive manner, resulting in a bite or a full on attack - fight. Dogs that are unsocialized and chained are much more likely to attack. A chained or penned up dog is an easy target for cruelty and theft. A dog left chained is at risk of being harassed, tormented, abused or even killed by humans, as well as being attacked/killed by other animals or taken by thieves. Chaining and tethering may result in strangulation. A dog's chain/tether can become entangled, which can cause strangulation, choking or can damage the trachea. Collars may also become embedded in the dog's fur. Dogs kept chained are less likely to receive adequate attention and care. Chained dogs rarely receive the kind of care they need, such as exercise, attention, training and socialization. Chained dogs are often exposed to the elements and extreme temperatures due to lack of shelter. Chained dogs normally eat, sleep and defecate/urinate in the same space, making unsanitary to deplorable living conditions. Please do not chain your dogs. If your dog prefers to be outside as opposed to inside, put him/her in a clean, secured fenced in area for a limited amount of time, while you still offer regular exercise, playtime, socialization, family interaction, adequate care and of course training, vet care and quality food.
